Things to Do

The valley rewards both the casual day tripper and the dedicated trekker. The main draw is the landscape itself: follow the river road upstream, stop at a few villages, eat trout for lunch, and walk up to the lower waterfalls at Setti Fatma. That alone fills a satisfying day. If you have more time or energy, the High Atlas opens up quickly from here — the prehistoric rock carvings of Djebel Yagour are one of the most unusual sites in Morocco, and few visitors make it up there.
