Taroudant is a conservative town — alcohol is available in the hotels with licenses but not in street cafés. The social drink here is mint tea. The square cafés (particularly around Place Assarag and Place Talmoklate) stay lively until late in the evening, and the quality of the tea and fresh-squeezed orange juice is excellent given the abundance of local citrus.
For a cold beer or a glass of wine, the garden terrace at one of the larger riads is your best option.
