Chefchaouen — the famously blue mountain town — is a 90-minute bus ride south. Tangier is an easy hour away in the other direction, well-suited to a long day trip if you start early. For a stranger half-day, take a grand taxi across the border to the Spanish enclave of Ceuta and back.
