Eating Out

Outjo's restaurant options are limited but functional. The town has a handful of guesthouses with restaurants attached, typically serving standard Namibian fare: kudu steak, oryx, chicken, and pasta. The portions are large and the prices are reasonable by any measure.

The Töpfers Konditorei is the most distinctive eating stop — a German-style bakery with strudel, coffee cake, and proper bread. It is best for breakfast and lunch rather than dinner. For self-caterers, the town's supermarkets (Spar) are well-stocked with basics; buy what you need here rather than paying premium prices at Etosha's rest camp shops.
