The most famous cafe in Namibia, attached to the Hotel Schweizerhaus on the beachfront. Café Anton has been doing traditional German confectionery since the 1970s: Black Forest cake, Bienenstich (bee sting cake), Florentines, and a serious selection of pastries baked on the premises. The terrace faces the sea. Come for breakfast or afternoon coffee — the midday crowds can be heavy in peak season. It is the kind of place that has regulars who have been coming for decades, which is the highest recommendation available.
