The rooftop bar of the Hilton Windhoek is the place to come for a drink at sunset. The view is comfortably the best in the city — west over the Klein Windhoek valley to the dry mountains, east to the Independence Memorial tower, north along Independence Avenue. Cocktails are pricey by Namibian standards but cheap by international ones.
A small heated infinity pool is open to non-residents who buy a few drinks. Snacks (tapas plates, pizzas) are decent if not spectacular. It is the easiest place in town to look like you are travelling in style without spending much. Open until late seven nights a week.
