Getting There

Kaduna is one of the best-connected cities in northern Nigeria, sitting at a junction where roads branch in five directions. This makes it a natural hub whether you are heading north to Kano, south to Abuja, or further afield.

By air, Kaduna Airport (KAD) handles domestic flights, with regular connections to Lagos and other major cities. It also serves as an alternative when Abuja's airport is busy or undergoing maintenance.

By road, Kaduna is roughly two hours from Abuja on a well-maintained expressway, and about three hours from Kano. Long-distance buses and shared taxis connect the city to most major destinations in the north and beyond.

By rail, Kaduna sits on the Abuja-Kaduna railway, a modern standard-gauge line that makes the trip to the capital in about two hours. It is comfortable and reliable by Nigerian standards, and a much better option than driving if Abuja is your starting point.
