Fazao-Malfakassa is wild country. The pleasure here is the bush itself — quiet hikes, river crossings, the chance of large mammals — rather than the kind of busy game-viewing you would get in eastern or southern Africa. Plan to walk; vehicle tracks exist but only a few are passable, and the park's interior is best appreciated on foot with a ranger.
