Sidi Bou Said is small enough that wandering is the main activity — climbing the steep cobbled lanes, pausing at viewpoints over the Gulf of Tunis, ducking into the palaces and museums. The town's famous blue-and-white aesthetic makes even a slow walk genuinely photogenic. Allow a half day minimum; a full day is better if you want to absorb the atmosphere and visit the palace museum.
