The easiest way to reach Sidi Bou Said from Tunis is the TGM commuter train, which runs roughly every 20–30 minutes from the Tunis Marine station near the city centre. The journey takes about 35 minutes and costs a few dinars. Get off at Sidi Bou Said station — the village is a short steep walk uphill from the platform.
Taxis from central Tunis take 20–30 minutes depending on traffic. The TGM also connects to Carthage, one stop before Sidi Bou Said, making it easy to combine both in a single day trip.
