Getting There

Sousse is served by Monastir Habib Bourguiba International Airport (MIR), about 20 kilometres southeast of the city centre. It is one of Tunisia's main international airports, with direct flights from major European cities including Paris, London, Frankfurt, and Amsterdam, particularly in summer. A taxi from the airport to central Sousse costs around 30–40 TND; negotiate the fare before getting in.

By train, Sousse is on the main Tunis–Sfax line. Regular services connect it to Tunis (about 2 hours), Sfax (about 1.5 hours), and other coastal cities. The train station is a short walk from the Medina.

From Tunis, shared taxis (louages) and buses also serve Sousse and are cheaper than the train, though slower. The bus station (gare routière) is near the train station.
