Getting There

Entebbe International Airport is Uganda's main international gateway, handling virtually all international arrivals. The airport sits about 3 km southwest of town and is well served from Nairobi, Addis Ababa, Dubai, London, Amsterdam, and other hubs. Most travellers flying into Uganda land here.

From the airport into Entebbe town, taxis and boda-boda (motorcycle taxis) are available outside arrivals. The fare into town is short and inexpensive; negotiate before getting in. Shared taxis (matatus) to Kampala depart from the taxi stand near Kitooro — the journey takes about 45 minutes in normal traffic, though the road between Entebbe and Kampala can be congested. The new Entebbe–Kampala Expressway has significantly reduced travel times on that corridor.

From Kampala, taxis and private hire cars to Entebbe run throughout the day from the taxi parks.
