Khema is a small group of French-Cambodian bistros across the city; the original branch on Street 240 in BKK1 is the most atmospheric, in a renovated townhouse with a shaded terrace. Charcuterie, rillettes and pâtés are made in-house and sold at the counter, and the menu runs to steak frites, duck confit and the day's catch from the Gulf of Thailand.
Weekend brunch is popular — eggs Benedict, French pastries, and a generous Bloody Mary. Reasonable wine list. A good first-night dinner if you have arrived overland and want a softer landing.
