A no-frills South Indian vegetarian restaurant on Street 51, run by the same family for two decades and beloved by the city's Indian and Sri Lankan community. The thali plates, served on banana leaves at lunchtime, are the standout — a heap of rice surrounded by curries, sambar, rasam, pickle and yoghurt for around four dollars.
Crispy paper dosas, idli with coconut chutney, and proper masala chai round out the menu. Air-conditioned, family-friendly, and a useful change of pace when you have eaten one too many bowls of kuy teav.
