Daqingshan Wildlife World north of the city center is one of the larger safari-style wildlife parks in Anhui, covering a substantial forested campus where animals are kept in relatively large enclosures with some free-roaming areas accessible by vehicle. The collection represents over two hundred species, with a reasonable assortment of large mammals from Asia and Africa.
It's a creditable facility by Chinese provincial standards, and the forested hill setting makes the experience less sterile than flat-land zoo alternatives. The most popular sections are the tiger and bear areas where visitor vehicles drive through. Best suited for families with children or visitors who have extra time in the city.
