Lingjiatan is one of Anhui's major Neolithic sites, a large settlement and ritual landscape in Hanshan County. Recent public presentation has focused on the Lingjiatan Site Museum and national archaeological park, which interpret jade objects, settlement remains, and the site's place in early Chinese civilisation.
It is well outside central Ma'anshan, so plan it as a half-day archaeology excursion rather than an urban stop. The payoff is depth: a much older story than the city's modern steel identity or its Tang-poetry associations with Li Bai.
