Mount Zhe is Wuhu's central hill park, close enough to the city core to work as an easy morning or late-afternoon walk. Paths climb through trees and landscaped gardens to viewpoints over the city, with spring blossoms and autumn colour giving locals a reason to return.
It is a calmer counterweight to Mirror Lake and the Yangtze riverfront. Go for a walk rather than a major hike; the pleasure is in seeing how Wuhu folds a green hill into the middle of its urban life.
