Things to Do

Xidi is a small village with a dense concentration of Ming and Qing dynasty architecture. The sights are the buildings themselves — courtyards, carved screens, ancestral halls — and the texture of a place that has remained inhabited while being preserved. Allow three to four hours to do justice to the main compounds.
