Longhaitian Beach, also called Longhai Beach, is a long sweep of sand on Donghai Island east of Zhanjiang. The scale is the main attraction: the beach runs for many kilometres, with wide sand and open South China Sea views.
It works best as a half-day outing from Zhanjiang rather than a quick city stop. Bring sun protection and check local transport or taxi options in advance, since the beach is well outside the central districts.
