West Mountain National Scenic Zone rises just outside Guiping, with paths linking temples, pavilions, rocks, and viewpoints. It is a classic small Chinese scenic mountain: part walk, part temple visit, part excuse to look back over the city.
Xishan tea is grown here, and shops near the entrance sell it. Allow time for the climb if you want the wider views rather than just the lower temples.
