Zhongshan Park is Guiping's central memorial park for Sun Yat-sen, known in Chinese as Sun Zhongshan. The park is more than a routine patch of green: Sun visited in 1921, when the grounds had another name, and advised on its development.
A large statue of Sun stands near the entrance, and the park makes an easy town-centre stop before or after visiting West Mountain and Guiping's temples.
