Guiyang is well connected by high-speed rail and air. Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport handles flights from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, and several international destinations. The airport is 11 kilometres from the city centre; a metro line connects it directly to the city in about 30 minutes for 10 yuan.
High-speed rail from Guiyang North Station runs to Chongqing in about 2 hours, Chengdu in about 4 hours, Guangzhou in about 4.5 hours, and Kunming in about 2.5 hours. The station is in the city's northern suburbs, connected to the centre by metro. Nanning is about 4 hours by high-speed rail. Within Guizhou, Anshun is 30 minutes, Zunyi is 40 minutes, and Kaili is about 1 hour.
