Tianhe Lake is a managed karst scenic area south-west of Guiyang, combining water, caves, waterfalls and green hills in a compact day-trip landscape. Boat rides and paths thread through the site, giving visitors an accessible version of Guizhou's limestone scenery.
It is more developed than wild, but the geology is real and the outing makes sense if you have limited time in the province. Go with realistic expectations: it is a scenic park with infrastructure, not a remote minority-village trek.
