Jingzhou sits on the high-speed rail corridor between Wuhan and Yichang; the journey from Wuhan takes about an hour, and from Yichang about 30 minutes. The station, Jingzhou Railway Station, is in the newer part of the city a few kilometres from the walled old town — taxis are readily available.
Long-distance buses connect to Wuhan, Jingmen, Yichang, and smaller towns across Hubei. Shashi Airport, within the city, has limited domestic connections; most travellers use Wuhan Tianhe for international flights. From the station to the city walls and museum is a short taxi ride.
