Canglong Island National Wetland Park sits by Tangxun Lake in Jiangxia, on Wuhan's southeastern side. Despite the name, it is a peninsula rather than a true island, with wetland scenery and birdlife along the lake edge.
The park is best for a quiet nature walk or birdwatching stop away from central Wuhan. Bring insect repellent in warm weather, as the wetlands can be mosquito-heavy.
