Uprising Gate is a reconstructed gate of the old Wuchang City Wall, renamed for its role in the 1911 Wuchang Uprising. The present structure dates from the 1980s, but it marks one of the key revolutionary sites in the city and helps tie together Wuchang's cluster of 1911 history stops.
