Laosicheng is in Yongshun County, roughly 40 kilometres northeast of Yongshun town. The most convenient approach is from Huaihua (about two hours by road) or from Zhangjiajie (about 2.5 hours). A slower route via Fenghuang is possible but involves a longer drive. There is no public transport that serves the site directly; hiring a car or joining a tour from one of the nearby cities is the practical approach.
Tourist infrastructure at the site is present but modest. There is an on-site museum, a car park, and basic food options. The nearby town of Yongshun has guesthouses if you want to extend your visit to the surrounding area.
