Wuhai's attractions are concentrated on the unusual desert-river landscape that gives the city its character. Wuhai Lake and the surrounding desert dunes form the main visual spectacle; Dream Canyon West provides rock formations that have attracted a growing rock climbing community; and Jinsha Bay brings together dunes, water, and Mongolian cultural tourism in one commercial package. The city is small enough to cover comprehensively in two days.
