Qixia Temple stands below wooded hills east of central Nanjing. The temple complex has halls, bell and drum towers, Buddhist statues, pavilions, ponds, tombs, and paths leading into the surrounding maple forest.
Autumn is the most popular season, when the maples turn bright red and orange. Spring peach blossoms make another good time to visit.
