Jiujiang sits on the Hefei–Fuzhou High-Speed Railway, with fast trains to Nanchang (about 40 minutes), Hefei (under two hours), and connections to Shanghai and Hangzhou. The high-speed rail station is some distance from the old city centre; taxis and city buses cover the gap. A second station, Jiujiang Station, serves conventional rail lines and is more central.
For Lushan, city buses and tourist minibuses depart from near the main bus station and take about 20–30 minutes to reach the mountain ticket gate. Ferries across the Yangtze to Huangshi in Hubei run from the main ferry dock near the riverfront.
