Battery Hill Park is a small historic park in Dalian's development area, known for its old Qing-era cannons and spring cherry blossoms. It is not one of Dalian's big-ticket sights, but it gives this newer part of the city a little history and a good excuse for a stroll.
Come if you are already staying or working in Jinzhou or the development zone. From central Dalian, the park is more of a local detour than a reason to cross town on its own.
