New Yalu River Bridge

The New Yalu River Bridge is a huge double-arch road bridge built to link Dandong with North Korea. The Chinese side has a broad approach and immigration complex, but the bridge famously ends in unfinished roads and fields on the North Korean side.

It is not a conventional beauty spot, but it is one of Dandong's stranger border sights: a visible reminder of ambitious cross-border plans that never fully materialized. It pairs naturally with the older broken bridge and the Yalu riverfront.
