Getting There

Weinan city is the first major stop east of Xi'an on the high-speed rail line toward Zhengzhou and the east coast. High-speed trains run every twenty to thirty minutes from Xi'an North Station and take around thirty minutes. The journey to Hua Shan North Station, in Huayin at the foot of the mountain, is another thirty minutes beyond Weinan.

For the Tang imperial tombs in the western part of the prefecture (Qianling, Zhaoling), the most practical approach is by taxi or private car from Xi'an or Xianyang, as public bus services are limited and infrequent. Hancheng, in the northeastern corner of the prefecture near Dangjia Village and the Sima Qian Temple, is best reached by long-distance bus from Xi'an (around two hours) or by regional train.
