Shanghai has two airports. Pudong International (PVG) handles the long-haul flights and is around 45 km east of the centre, connected by the Maglev train (350 km/h, 8 minutes to Longyang Road) and Metro Line 2 (cheaper, around an hour). Hongqiao Airport (SHA), on the western edge, mostly handles domestic and East Asian routes and connects directly to the high-speed rail station. The Hongqiao high-speed rail terminal is one of the world's largest and runs trains to Beijing (4.5 hours), Hangzhou (45 minutes), Suzhou (25 minutes), Nanjing (1 hour) and most major Chinese cities. Long-distance buses are cheap but slow.
