Shanghai World Financial Center (SWFC)

492-metre Shanghai World Financial Center with a trapezoidal aperture and sky walk at the top

The 492-metre SWFC, completed in 2008, contains a distinctive trapezoidal aperture at the top — originally designed as a circle but changed to avoid political sensitivity about the Japanese developer's Rising Sun imagery. The Sky Walk 100 on floor 100 (474 metres) has a glass floor section and a glass-walled walkway with views straight down.

The Park Hyatt, occupying floors 79–93, has a bar on floor 87 (Cloud 9) that provides the same elevated Bund view as the observation deck at a lower cost if you buy a drink. The building is connected to the Jin Mao Tower and Shanghai Tower by an underground walkway and shared plaza. Century Avenue; Metro Lujiazui.
