Sheshan

Sheshan is a pair of wooded hills in Songjiang, west of central Shanghai, with broad paths and stairs leading up through the parkland. The main hill is crowned by the Sheshan Basilica and an observatory, giving the area an unusual mix of greenery, Catholic heritage, and old scientific architecture.

It is a worthwhile escape from the denser parts of Shanghai, especially if you want a walk with a clear destination at the top.
