Tsetang is a small provincial city and nightlife is minimal. There are a handful of tea houses where locals drink butter tea and barley beer (chang), and a few small Chinese-run cafes serving instant coffee and basic snacks. This is not a town for evening drinks — most visitors are in bed early after days at altitude and long drives. The best bet for a sociable drink is the common room of whichever guesthouse you are staying in, where you are likely to meet other travellers and compare notes on the sites.
