A granite column in the ruins of the Chrysopolitissa Basilica, a 4th-century Byzantine church destroyed by Arab raids in the 7th century. The site, just north of Kato Paphos, is an open-air collection of church ruins, mosaics, and sarcophagi.

A story
According to tradition, St. Paul was tied to this pillar and flogged thirty-nine times by the Roman governor Sergius Paulus — who was then converted by Paul himself shortly afterwards, becoming the first Christian Roman governor.
