Hyderabad's Old City is largely conservative and alcohol-light, but the western suburbs tell a different story. Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills — the city's upmarket residential and dining belt — have a well-developed café culture with specialty coffee shops, cocktail bars, and craft beer taprooms that serve the large tech-sector population from HITEC City. It is a different city from the Old City in almost every respect.
