Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (HYD) is 20km south of the city, served by all major Indian carriers and with direct international flights to Dubai, Singapore, London, Abu Dhabi, and other hubs. The Hyderabad Metro airport line connects to the city centre. Taxis and prepaid cabs are available outside arrivals.
By train, Hyderabad is well connected: Mumbai (~14 hours on the Duronto or Rajdhani), Chennai (~7 hours), Bengaluru (~11 hours), Delhi (~12 hours or more). The city has two major railway stations — Hyderabad Deccan (Nampally), close to the Old City, and Secunderabad, the larger hub to the north — so check which station your train uses before setting out.
Long-distance buses from nearby cities arrive at the Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station (MGBS) near the Old City, one of the largest bus terminals in Asia.
