Kalingapatnam is the main beach destination in the district, about 30 kilometers from Srikakulam town. Once an active seaport used by European merchants during the East India Company period, the town retains a lighthouse and the remains of a Buddhist stupa near the shore. The beach itself is long and largely empty — good for a quiet walk, though the water can be rough.
Baruva is a smaller beach further up the coast toward Odisha, with clean sand and very few visitors. There is little infrastructure, so bring what you need.
