Getting There

Srikakulam is on the main Howrah–Chennai rail corridor, one of India's busiest railway lines, so connections from both Kolkata (Howrah) to the north and Chennai to the south are frequent and generally reliable. The journey from Visakhapatnam takes around two hours by train. The railway station in Srikakulam town is known as Srikakulam Road station, which is actually in the town itself — confusing only on paper.

By road, Srikakulam is on National Highway 16 (the old NH5), making it straightforward to reach by bus from Visakhapatnam (about 2.5 hours, around 115 km) or from Bhubaneswar in Odisha (about 4 hours north). State APSRTC buses run regularly along this corridor. The nearest commercial airport is at Visakhapatnam.
