Da Parbatia Gate

Da Parbatia Gate is a carved stone doorway from an early temple site, often treated as one of the oldest important examples of temple architecture in Assam. The surviving frame is small, but the carvings of Ganga, Yamuna, foliage, and decorative bands are delicate and worth the detour.

The site is easy to underrate if you arrive expecting a large ruin. Think of it instead as a rare surviving fragment, important because so little from that period remains in place.
