Gaden Phelgayling Namgyal Datsang, often just called the Tibetan Temple, is one of the quieter monastic compounds near Bodh Gaya's main sacred circuit. Its colours, murals, prayer wheels, and Tibetan details make it a useful contrast to the international temples built by other Buddhist communities around town.
It is not as essential as the Mahabodhi Temple or the Great Buddha, but it rewards a slow walk through Bodh Gaya's monastic quarter. Visit respectfully, expect parts of the compound to be closed for monastic use, and treat it as a living religious place rather than a display.
