Taiwanese Temple

The Taiwanese Temple is one of the quieter international Buddhist temples near the Mahabodhi Temple complex. Its Chinese-influenced architecture gives it a different feel from the Thai, Japanese, Tibetan, and Bhutanese monasteries nearby, and the compound is peaceful enough for a short pause between the larger pilgrimage sights.

It works best as part of a walk through Bodh Gaya's temple district rather than as a standalone outing. Combine it with the Japanese Temple and the Great Buddha Statue, both only a few minutes away on foot.
