The Anjuna outpost of the small Goa-wide "German Bakery" chain has a leafy garden full of low cushions and floor tables that has been a fixture of the south Anjuna scene for decades. It is one of the few cafes that does proper bread, decent coffee and a long vegetarian menu of falafel, salads, tofu dishes and lassi.
Breakfast is the strongest meal — the pancake stack and the muesli bowls draw a steady backpacker crowd from 8am. Wi-Fi works and laptops are tolerated, which makes it the de facto co-working space for the digital nomad set in season.
