Benaulim and Varca Beaches

Just south of Colva, the coast grows quieter. Benaulim is roughly 2km down the road — still a proper village with its own beach shacks and a small fishing community, but noticeably less crowded than Colva's main strip. Varca, another 3km further south, is quieter still, with a long, near-empty beach backed by casuarina trees.

Both are easily reached by bicycle or scooter, and the flat coastal road makes the ride easy. An auto-rickshaw will take you from Colva for a few hundred rupees, though you'll want to negotiate the fare in advance.
