Walk any block of C.G. Road in Navrangpura in the late afternoon and you will find a small chai cart with a kettle, two glasses of cutting chai, and a queue of office workers. Tea Post, the indigenous Gujarati chain, has shops across the city serving masala chai, fresh sandwiches, and cold coffee in clean air-conditioned outlets at the same price as the street. The original Tea Post on Drive-in Road is the prototype.
