Adi-kadi Vav is one of the most atmospheric corners of Uparkot Fort. Unlike the ornate masonry stepwells of Gujarat's plains, this one is cut directly down through the rock, with a long, narrow stair dropping between high stone walls toward the water source below.
The stepwell is best seen while exploring the fort as a whole, alongside its gates, cannons, caves, and views over Junagadh. The descent is short but steep enough to make the engineering feel physical rather than decorative.
