Navghan Kuvo is one of Uparkot Fort's most impressive pieces of engineering. The well is cut deep into the rock, with a spiral descent that feels more like entering a fortress passage than visiting a water source. In dry Junagadh, that practical purpose gives the structure real force.
It is often paired with nearby Adi-Kadi Vav, but the two are distinct enough to notice: Navghan Kuvo is darker, deeper, and more enclosed. Watch your footing on the steps, especially if the stone is damp or crowded. Together with the fort walls and old mosques, it helps make Uparkot one of Junagadh's strongest sights.
